Rock Band 3 has a great line-up of songs, including “Portions for Foxes” by Rilo Kiley (!!!), “Just Like Heaven” by The Cure, and “Combat Baby” by Metric.
Other songs on Rock Band 3 are by artists like The White Stripes, Phoenix, Ida Maria, Smashmouth, Joan Jett, Ozzy Osbourne, Queen, and The Doors.

Go and see the movie Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. It came out yesterday, and Tennessee Thomas (drummer of The Like) and Jason Schwartzman (Coconut Records, former drummer of Phantom Planet and Ben Lee) are in the film.
Tennessee appears briefly in the middle of the film as Lynette Guycott, the drummer of a rival band and Jason plays the evil Gideon Graves towards the end of the film.
Tough Crowd was a side-project featuring Mickey Madden (bassist of Maroon 5) and Harley Viera-Newton.

The soundtrack to this summer’s movie 500 Days of Summer has a lot of great songs.
We’re starting off the soundtrack’s highlights with “You Make My Dreams” by Hall and Oates. The song plays during Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s dance sequence.
I saw a recent video of Hall and Oates playing “You Make My Dreams Come True” at the Troubadour in LA — definitely not as good as the album version.
The Young Veins — Ryan Ross and Jon Walker — have a new song called “The Other Girl.”
